When challenged by some religious leaders about what is the greatest commandment we must follow this is Jesus’ response,

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:29-31

Simply put, we are told to love God and love others.
However, in my experience, this is not always simple or easy.

Sometimes it feels like God isn’t listening, or answering our prayers. It can be hard to know how to be in relationship with an all-powerful, yet not visible God.

Additionally, people can frustrate us, disappoint us and be really hard to love at times; whether they’re parents, spouses, friends or acquaintance.

Finally, sometimes the hardest relationship to be in is with ourselves. We believe lies about who we are and whose we are and as a result, we aren’t living into the fullness of who God created us to be.

Whilst don’t have all the answers, and I am definitely far from perfect, I hope that I can share some truths with you. That some of my experiences will help you as you journey with God and love the world.
